蔡英文新政府閣揆人選外界點名是林全，但林全卻不參加政權交接小組首次會議，外界因此聯想林全可能不願接任閣揆。對此，總統當選人兼民進黨主席蔡英文今(17)日表示「這故事編得太遠了」，內閣人事要等到4月才會進行處理。
蔡英文今天上午出席民進黨「第九屆立法委員研習會議」，在會前接受媒體詢問時，作出上述回應。
蔡英文強調，民進黨交接小組召集人，仍然是原先公布民進黨秘書長吳釗燮、林全、執行總幹事林錫耀3位，負責整個交接事務召集的工作。
至於交接會議，蔡英文說，哪一個會議由哪一個人去參加，要看會議的性質，再來安排適當的人選參加。
媒體關切閣揆的徵詢進度，蔡英文強調，內閣人事要等到4月才會進行處理，在這個階段，還是像今天一樣，對於新國會的立法議程與立法委員做最好的溝通。
中國可能上周已在西沙群島的永興島（Woody Island）部署地對空飛彈系統的發射器與控制雷達，對此，蔡英文表示，南海是各方關注的區域，南海主權爭議上是呈現緊張的態度，還是呼籲各方秉持和平解決南海爭議的原則，自我克制。
